About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Design & Estimation Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Design & Estimation team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of project designs, cost estimates, and proposals. This role requires close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality design solutions and competitive cost estimates that align with project objectives, timelines, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and mentor the design and estimation team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
• Allocate tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
• Oversee preparation and review of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Develop detailed project cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other departments.
• Act as the main point of contact for design and estimation-related client queries.
• Attend client meetings to gather requirements and present design and estimation proposals.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance of all design and estimation deliverables.
• Maintain proper documentation, reports, and records for management review.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and market prices.
• Introduce innovative and sustainable solutions where applicable.
• Ensure that QHSE (Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures are effectively implemented on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Relevant discipline).
• Proven experience in design and estimation management within engineering or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in design and estimation tools/software.
• AUTOCAD experience is mandatory. REVIT/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design of fire protection systems.
