About the Role:
The Assistant Technician (Helper) supports technicians in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of firefighting systems, fire alarm systems, and civil works. This role assists in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with QHSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of firefighting systems, fire alarm systems, and related civil works.
- Install and maintain safety-related signs and indicators.
- Support technicians in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire safety and security systems.
- Shift materials, perform painting, grooving, threading of pipes, and other civil-related work.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying required repairs or adjustments.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors according to wiring and system specifications.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisors.
- Attend to emergency calls for installation and maintenance, following instructions from superiors.
- Ensure QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures are implemented effectively on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Up to 2 years of working experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil-related activities.
- Basic proficiency in English (speaking and reading).
- Basic technical and computer skills.
- Familiarity with power and hand tools used in civil and MEP works.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts, theory, and practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks as required.
