Sewage Treatment Plant
The Biokube domestic waste water treatment systems are designed based on fixed-film biological (biofilm) principle for the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater. The key component of Biokube treatment systems is a rigid, compact, high performance polyethylene media (BIO-BloK®) with high specific surface area (up to 300 m2 per m3).
The media is devised into tanks-in-series that allow wastewater to be contacted with the fully submerged media in the presence of air, simultaneously. The air is supplied by blowers, the air introduced to the treatment process via fine bubble membrane diffusers below the media. The external walls of the Biokube submerged aerated filter (SAF) are manufactured in polypropylene, up to 8-6 mm in diameter.
A secondary clarifier is integrated to the system, after each biological zone for the removal of bio solids that sloughs off the media during the treatment process
