Cooling Water Treatment Chemicals

Water is commonly used as a cooling medium in various industries and public buildings, with evaporative cooling towers being one of the most effective heat transfer methods. In these systems, heat from hot process fluids is transferred to cooling water via a heat exchange surface, raising the water temperature. A small portion of the cooling water evaporates within the tower, lowering its temperature and allowing it to be reused for cooling, with make-up water replacing the evaporated amount. Similarly, evaporative condensers are used to cool closed-loop systems by spraying water on pipes carrying hot fluids to absorb heat.

GIG’s goals are to design and operate these cooling systems in order to optimize heat transfer efficiency, minimize energy and water use all while ensuring a safe and a reliable operation. This is generally accomplished by applying a wide variety of Chemicals.
