Saleh Awad
As a graduate of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from McGill University in Montreal, Saleh started his career working as Testing Engineer at Nortel Networks Corporation (Nortel) at their Head Quarter Office in Ottawa. After that, Saleh moved to the USA and worked as Hardware Design Engineer with Pittway Corporation, a manufacturer of Fire Alarm Systems (which later got acquired by Honeywell International Inc.). From there, the passion for the Fire Industry started.
In 2001, after working in the USA for few years, Saleh decided to move back to the UAE and join the family business at GIG where Saleh worked in different positions from Projects Engineer, to Sales Engineer to Business Development to Operations.
During which, Saleh also managed to complete his Master of Business Administration from Deakin University in Australia. Currently, Saleh oversees the operation of GIG with focus on Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Sameh Awad
Sameh began his career working in Canada. Prior to moving to the UAE, he held positions working in Finance at two of the biggest organizations Nortel Networks Corporation (Nortel)to move back to his original home the UAE, Sameh started a career working Business Development in Dubai at InfoFort. A company that was later acquired by Aramex.
Sameh’s background in Finance and working with multinational organizations in North America combined with the sales & business development skills earned working with InfoFort provided him with a solid base to take on the challenge of setting up the Dubai office of General International Group in late 2004.
Today Sameh oversees the Dubai & Northern Emirates operations of the Group and was tasked to directly oversee and develop the international business for GIG.
